Top 5 Tips for Nutrition Success in 2019

How have your health goals for 2019 started out so far? I’ve been especially interacting with people this past week who are sadly so confused about what healthy eating looks like. I don’t blame them at all...the media makes it SO confusing 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

With that in mind, I’m breaking down a quick Top 5️⃣ (simple & doable!) tips for nutrition success in 2019:

1. Embrace Variety 🍠🥝-Even if your usual diet consists of generally healthy foods, we miss out if we eat the same things over and over again. Mix it up by trying new proteins, spices, herbs, ancient grains, etc! More variety=a wider exposure to quality nutrients 👌🏼
2. Set yourself up for success 💯-Change your environment to be in your favor when it comes to health by planning ahead with a grocery list 📃, meal prepping as needed, and keeping a stocked pantry & fridge 🥕 Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is an added bonus 👍🏼👭
3. Don’t stress too much about healthy eating 🙅🏼‍♀️It doesn’t have to be so complicated! Bring it back to the basics and don’t succumb to the media’s messages that you’re not as healthy if you don’t try every latest & new “fad” ingredient (of which there are bound to be MANY this year 😑). I PROMISE you that colorful fruits & veggies will never go out of style 🍅🥬🍑
4. Have fun with it! Instead of thinking about what you can’t or “shouldn’t” eat, focus on ways to make the foods you already love even more nourishing. 
5. Focus on balance 🍪🥦There is NO such thing as a perfect diet! Say goodbye to “all or nothing” thinking and instead remind yourself daily that every healthy decision you make counts 👍🏼
